Per Texas House Bill 3, all public school employees who have regularly interact with students must complete Youth Mental Health First Aid training. The Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) course meets these training requirements by teaching educators how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health or substance use issues. The training provides the skills needed to initiate help and support someone who may be developing a mental or behavioral health problem. NOTE: 2 hours of pre-requisite asynchronous work is required in order to attend the synchronous Zoom.
